TEDxAsheville launched in 2009 as an independently organized event, licensed by TED, to bring ideas worth spreading and TED-like events to the mountains of Western North Carolina. Since launch, TEDxAsheville has hosted 10+ events and featured nearly 100 speakers, whose talks have been viewed more than 5 million times.

When I suggested the website needed a much needed make-over, the organizers jumped on it.
The original site was out of date, clunky , and difficult to update regularly. So, I set to designing a completely new look–one that’s clean, modern, and maintains TED’s strict brand guidelines.
Feedback from the organizers, sponsors, and community at large was extremely positive.
Views and activity on the site increased by 50%!
