CASE STUDY: BONOBO.ORG

The Bonobo Conservation Initiative is an incredible organization, headed up by the inimitable Sally Coxe. She began the organization over 25 years ago and continues to work tirelessly, to protect bonobos, preserve the rainforest, and empower the indigenous people of the Congo.

This site was a joy to work on! Not only did I get to use super high quality photos from National Geographic photographers, but just look at those bonobo faces :)

Color and theme was an important consideration with this site. We wanted it to represent the African nation, Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as appeal to a worldwide audience (and potential donors).

Since the launch, they report that they’ve seen a huge increase in website traffic, and time spent on each page. In particular the Donation page has been much more active!
